Join Us Under the Eclipse

🛎️ Important Update (10/18/25)

Thank you so much for all your feedback and excitement about our original idea to get married in Spain under the eclipse. After hearing from many of you, we’ve decided to adjust our plans a bit.

Here’s the new plan:

We will be having our legal ceremony here in Pennsylvania first, likely June or July 2026. This will include an exchange of simple vows and celebration. It will be informal and focused on celebrating with those closest to us.

After the ceremony, we will be traveling to Spain to exchange our 💎 premium vows 💎 under the black sun. This is a special moment we both wish to share. Unfortunately, we were unable to secure accommodations for our party and will be traveling as a couple. That said, anyone is more than welcome to travel and witness our greatness.

✈️ Spain 2026

Where are you staying?

We have booked a reservation at Hotel Can Verdera for August 8th to the 15th 2026. The hotel is located on the island of Mallorca, Spain near the town of Soller. There are still a few rooms available if you'd like to book a room to stay with us. This island is where we will be for the eclipse on August 12th.

We do plan on exploring the mainland of Spain the week prior to the 8th, but haven't booked anything just let. We will update this page when more information becomes available

Here is a list of hotels and bed-n-breakfasts near our accommodations. More options available on booking.com. Note: things are booking up quickly!

  • Hotel Marina Sóller – Rooftop pool, spa, and sea-view rooms with balconies overlooking the harbor, right on the waterfront.
  • Pure Salt Port de Soller Hotel – Upscale beachfront hotel chain with pool, spa, and beach access. Rooms and suites with sea views and jacuzzi options.
  • Finca Ca N'ai Retreat – Peaceful mountain and garden-view suites with large spaces and pool, located in Sóller.
  • Finca Ca’n Quatre – Charming finca in Sóller with pool, close to town. Offers yoga or massage in the garden; cozy suites surrounded by nature.

Thinking about joining us?

Just a heads-up: most Airbnbs you’ll find online are actually illegal and have contributed to a major housing crisis for local Spaniards. Please avoid these and instead book a stay with a licensed hotel or resort.

Additionally, we recommend booking locations away from the more populated areas, like Madrid and Barcelona. Spain is expected to be visited by ~100 millions tourists next year, so you will be doing yourself a favor by visiting these high traffic destinations, rather than living in them.

Is it safe?

You may have seen the news about protesters [using] water pistols against unsuspecting tourists last summer. These protesters were marching to protest rising housing costs. While the incident was isolated and sporadic, it sent off a frenzy of news stories speculating about the future of tourism in Spain.

In reality, Spain remains one of the safest countries in the world—far safer than the U.S. In fact, you’re over six times less likely to encounter violent crime there than in an average American city. But if you’d still like a little extra peace of mind, we recommend this device for your protection.

A Final Word

Traveling can be exciting and fun, but it is also a lot stress and work. We do not expect anyone to put themselves in a situation that would make them uncomfortable. This trip & the vows are, first and foremost, for us. Do not feel obligated to come; we are you inviting you without expectation. You won't hurt our feelings if you can't come... well, only if you also miss the PA celebration 🙃
